| Obverse description | Central device depicting a tree in the field, its branches spreading symmetrically to either side. The surrounding circular legend reads F M SENOGALIE V DNS, identifying Francis Maria as Lord of Senigallia. The lettering is rendered in Gothic-influenced Latin capitals typical of early sixteenth-century Italian hammered coinage. The irregular flan and crude strike are characteristic of provincial billon issues of the period. |
