Obverse description Central field features a stylized patriarchal or processional cross within a beaded inner circle, flanked on each side by a six-pointed star in the lower quarters. The cross is rendered in a bold, somewhat crude hammered style typical of late 15th-century Italian billon coinage. A circular legend in Latin uncial characters surrounds the inner circle, reading the invocation to Saint Terence, patron of Pesaro. The overall fabric is irregular, consistent with hand-struck small change of the period.
