| Obverse description | Central field displays the letters C-V-S arranged within a triangle, each letter flanking a small globule, forming a monogram representing the final three letters of the name SANCTUS QUIRIACUS, patron saint of Ancona. A beaded inner circle separates the central device from the surrounding legend. The outer circular legend reads PP*S*QVIRIA, referring to San Quiriacus (Ciriaco), in Gothic-influenced Latin lettering typical of 15th-century communal Italian coinage.
