Obverse description A modius (grain measure) shown in three-quarter perspective, containing two upright corn-ears, centered in the field. The legend encircles the central device along the periphery, rendered in capital Latin characters. The design is executed in a simple, utilitarian style characteristic of Roman bronze fractional coinage of the Flavian and Nervan periods.
