Obverse description Draped bust of a figure facing right, rendered in low relief in the hammered style typical of Augustan-era bronze coinage. The legend of the moneyer Lucius Valerius Catullus encircles the central device, inscribed in Latin along the periphery. The surfaces show considerable wear and patination consistent with circulation use, though the general portrait type remains discernible. The field is plain with no additional decorative elements.
