| Obverse description | Plain bronze field bearing a large central modius (grain measure) rendered in relief, depicted in frontal view with characteristic stepped horizontal bands. The modius serves as the primary type, occupying the central field. The surrounding legend names the moneyers Galus and Sisenna in their capacity as Triumviri Monetales. The striking is irregular in flan shape, typical of Augustan-era bronze quadrantes produced by hammering. The surface shows a dark brown patina consistent with prolonged circulation. |
