| Reverse description | A cornucopia overflowing with fruits and foliage occupies the central field, depicted in a frontal, upright orientation with clusters of grapes and other produce spilling from its mouth. To the left of the cornucopia, four pellets are arranged vertically alongside a six-pointed star in the lower field. The Latin ethnic legend COPIA is inscribed to the right, identifying the issuing colony of Copia (Thurii). The overall composition is characteristic of the municipal bronze coinage of Roman colonies in southern Italy during the early second century BC. |
