| Reverse description | Central field filled with multiple horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic inscription in bold, raised relief, densely arranged across the irregular flan in a style typical of Almoravid hammered silver issues. The lettering is robust and angular, with the text occupying the full available field without an inner circle. A plain or beaded border runs along the periphery of the coin, partially irregular due to the hand-struck nature of the flan. The reverse legends typically bear the Shahadah and additional religious or dynastic formulae complementing those on the obverse. |
