| Obverse description | Central field occupied by multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic-style script, densely arranged across the flan. The legends, characteristic of Almoravid epigraphic coinage, fill the entire face without pictorial imagery. The inscription references religious formulae and the ruler's name. The strike is typical of hammered Almoravid small silver, resulting in an irregular, slightly off-center flan with raised lettering of varying relief. |
