Reverse description Central field carries a two-line Persian legend in nasta'liq script reading 'ضرب دارالسوصن قزوین / ۱۲۴۳', translating as 'Struck at Dar al-Sussan Qazvin' with the AH mint date below. The mint epithet 'Dar al-Sussan' (Abode of the Lily) is the traditional honorific for the city of Qazvin. The date and mint name are disposed in two lines on the irregular hammered flan, following standard Qajar provincial mint practice.
