Obverse description Irregular hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend disposed across the field in the characteristic Qanhari script tradition of Sind. The inscription, executed in a somewhat crude provincial style, occupies the entirety of the die area without a surrounding border. Letter forms are bold but irregularly spaced, reflecting the hand-cut nature of the dies used for this fractional denomination. The flat, unadorned field displays typical wear and die-sinking characteristics associated with late tenth-century Sindhi coinage.
