| Obverse description | Anonymous hammered silver damma of the Amirs of Sind, struck in the Qandhari tradition. The obverse field bears stylized Arabic-derived legends rendered in a highly schematic and degenerate script, arranged in multiple horizontal registers across the flan. The inscription, derived from the Islamic shahada formula, is heavily abstracted and exhibits the characteristic cursive degeneration typical of late Sind fractional coinage. No ruler name or mint name appears, consistent with the anonymous series attributed broadly to the Amir period. The irregular flan displays the rough, uneven edges characteristic of hand-struck hammered coinage of this region and period. |
