Additional information

The Qandhari dirham type — named for Qandahar, the region from which the module derives — circulated across Sind during a period of fragmented Abbasid authority, when local governors increasingly struck in their own right with minimal acknowledgment of the caliphate. At under half a gram, these fractional pieces served petty transactions that full dirhams could not practically accommodate.

'Abd Allah II's issues are sparsely documented outside specialist die studies on Zeno's database.
