| Reverse description | The tamga (dynastic emblem) of Amir Timur (Tamerlane) occupies the central field, rendered in raised relief with characteristic curvilinear and spiral elements visible across the flan. The tamga consists of interlocking curved strokes and volutes forming the distinctive three-pronged or bow-and-arrow device associated with the Barlas clan and Timurid authority. The design fills the field without a framing border, and the irregular flan causes partial loss of the device at the margins. The execution is bold but rough, consistent with hand-hammered copper coinage of Central Asian provincial mints of the late 14th century. |
