Obverse description Irregular hammered copper flan displaying a multi-line Arabic legend occupying the entire field. The inscription reads 'Möngke Qa'an al-A'zam' (the Great Khan Möngke), presented in a bold, somewhat crude naskh script characteristic of mid-13th century Golden Horde coinage. The lettering is arranged in horizontal registers across the field with no border or decorative framing elements. The flan is irregular in outline, with moderate surface porosity and an overall dark green patina consistent with prolonged burial. Striking is slightly off-centre, a common feature of this hammered provincial issue.
