Reverse description Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged in horizontal registers, reading 'Pul Qrim', identifying both the denomination and the mint city of Qrim (Crimea). The lettering is somewhat crude in execution, characteristic of the debased copper coinage struck under Toqtamish. The flan edges are ragged and uneven, typical of fourteenth-century Golden Horde hammered puls.
