| Obverse description | The obverse bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Naskh script occupying the central field, invoking the name and authority of the Khan Abdallah. The legend is arranged in two or three horizontal registers across the flan, with the text reading a prayer for the perpetuation of his reign. The die is roughly circular and the strike is characteristically irregular, with some areas of weak relief due to the hammered technique. The flat, unbordered field shows natural flan irregularities consistent with medieval Central Asian copper coinage. |
