Obverse description Bearded head of Zeus Ammon facing right, depicted with a ram's horn curling behind the ear — the syncretic divine attribute merging the Greek Zeus with the Egyptian Ammon — and wearing a taenia (fillet) about the head. The portrait is rendered in a bold, high-relief Hellenistic style characteristic of Alexandrian die-cutting, with flowing locks of hair visible around the crown and nape. The field is plain and without legend.

Reverse description A Ptolemaic eagle with closed wings stands in left profile atop a thunderbolt, the dynastic emblem par excellence of the Ptolemaic bronze coinage. The bird is rendered with strong, naturalistic feather detail on the folded wings and tail. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ('of King Ptolemy') runs in two lines flanking the eagle to left and right respectively, while the control letter E appears between the eagle's legs serving as a mint or series mark.
