Obverse description Central intaglio vignette of an eagle perched atop a soldier with a rifle, set against a radiant sky. Denomination numeral '20' in large figures within guilloche rosettes at left and right, with oval portrait vignettes at lower corners — 'Barry' at lower left and 'Wm. Tone' (Wolfe Tone) at lower right. A red circular seal appears at center-left, with manuscript text and two handwritten signatures at bottom.

Reverse description Entirely engraved in green, the reverse carries an elaborate guilloche underprint of repeating floral and lace-pattern motifs forming a large scalloped cartouche.
