Reverse description A large laurel wreath frames the central field, incorporating various sporting implements: a winged shoe (talaria) at the apex, oars and a tennis racket with crossed bats on the sides, a penny-farthing bicycle, a boxing glove, and a baseball bat with ball at the lower portion. The word CHAMPION is spelled out in letters interspersed among the upper wreath leaves, with the event inscription engraved in the central field, and the maker's signatures incused along the lower border.
