Centrally set into the wall is a shield bearing the arms of Warsaw — a mermaid holding a sword and shield. The date '5. AUG.' and '1915' flank the shield on the wall, with the legend 'EINNAHME VON WARSCHAU' inscribed along the lower portion of the wall in relief.
