| Obverse description | The obverse features a raised central medallion depicting a medieval castle (Castrum de Possega) set upon a rocky hill in relief, flanked by the Latin inscription 'Castrum De Possega' in the field. The dates '1227–1977' appear in the lower portion of the central medallion, commemorating the 750th anniversary of the town's first mention.
