| Obverse description | Central field features a fleur-de-lis rendered in low relief in the crude hammered style characteristic of Crusader coinage. The motif is enclosed within a plain inner circle. The surrounding legend reads BOAMVNDUS in Latin capital letters, partially visible around the circumference, separated from the central device by a beaded or rope border. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with typical die wear and surface patination consistent with copper coinage of the Crusader states. |
