| Obverse description | Diminutive helmeted head facing left, the neck clearly visible below the truncation, adorned with a double parallel headband rendered in schematic Celtic style. The eye is depicted as a hollow void, and a globule appears at the mouth, characteristic of Late Iron Age Gaulish artistic convention. The modelling is stylized and abbreviated, typical of the potin coinage attributed to the Sequani tribe of eastern Gaul. |
