Obverse description Central raised pellet or boss within a quartered circle formed by four radiating lines dividing the field into four segments, each containing a Kannada akshar of the royal legend 'dosharashi'. The design is enclosed within a circular border, giving the composition a wheel-like or chakra appearance. The Kannada characters are rendered in low relief in the archaic Early Kannada script of the Kadamba period. The flan is irregular and flat, consistent with cast potin production of the region.
Obverse script Kannada
