Reverse description Plain white reverse with printed text in light blue-purple ink setting out terms of issue under the Post Office Act 1969. Three lettered clauses cover payment conditions, and two numbered notes advise the sender on completing the order. An acorn and oak leaf watermark pattern is visible across the paper.
Reverse lettering This order is issued in accordance with the relevant scheme or schemes under Section 28 of the Post Office Act 1969. Special attention is drawn to the following:
a. A crossed order will be paid only through a bank.
b. Payment may be refused if this order has any erasure or alteration, or is cut, defaced or mutilated.
c. If not cashed within 6 calendar months after the last day of the month of issue, this order should be referred to a post office for enquiry.
Notes
1. Banks keep accounts in pounds and whole pence and may not give credit for an odd ½p when collecting payment of an order.
2. The sender is recommended to fill in the name of the Office of Payment as well as the name of the payee as a precaution in case the order should be lost or stolen.
