| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing an elaborate feathered hat and a ruffled collar, the portrait rendered in high relief in the Renaissance manner. The king is depicted bearded, with fine detail in the armor and mantle visible at the truncation. A Latin legend encircles the effigy along the inner border, interrupted by a small cross mintmark in the field to the right of the bust. The coin is framed by a beaded border. |
