| Obverse description | Central device comprises a bold Maltese cross formed by two intersecting fasces-like bundles of reeded rods, symbolizing the Order of Malta, of which Emperor Paul I was Grand Master. A large imperial crown surmounts the cross at the top, while four smaller crowns are positioned at each of the four cardinal angles between the arms of the cross. The denomination legend ПОЛУ / ПОЛТИ / ННИКЪ is distributed around the periphery in Cyrillic characters, with the date 1798 appearing at the lower left, all set within a beaded border. |
