Reverse description Central field features the Vasa dynastic orb — a spherical device encircled by a crescent open at the top and surmounted by an ornate cross pattée — with the numeral 24 inscribed within the orb, indicating the coin's value in denars. Below the orb appears a small shield bearing the Snopek (wheatsheaf) arms of the Vasa dynasty. The date 1617 is divided on either side of the cross. The peripheral Latin legend MONE NO RE POL, abbreviating 'Moneta Nova Regni Poloniae' (New Money of the Kingdom of Poland), encircles the design, with decorative stops and hooks separating the legend elements.
