Obverse description Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed at center, crowned with three imperial crowns, wings spread, holding an orb and sceptre in its talons, with an elaborate shield on its breast bearing the St. George and dragon motif and the arms of the Russian provinces. The mintmaster initials ФБ appear below the eagle. A circular Cyrillic legend surrounds the design within a milled border, reading the silver fineness and weight specification.
