| Obverse description | Central device features the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by a small crown and the whole ensigned by a larger Imperial crown above; the eagle's breast bears a shield depicting St. George and the Dragon. The wings are elaborately detailed, with eight subsidiary shields along the wings representing various Imperial territories. The eagle holds an orb in its right talon and a sceptre in its left. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the Cyrillic weight legend arranged around the periphery reading ЧИСТАГО СЕРЕБРА 2 ЗОЛОТНИКА 10 1/2 ДОЛЕЙ, with the mint master's initials Ф Б positioned at the base. |
