Obverse description Armored and crowned bust of King Władysław IV Vasa facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and elaborately decorated plate armor. The king is shown with a scepter visible at his right side and an orb or sword hilt at his left. A royal crown surmounts the effigy. The surrounding circular legend in Latin reads: VLAD:IIII:D:G:REX:POL:M:D:L:RUS:PRUS: The portrait is rendered in the baroque style typical of mid-seventeenth-century Polish royal coinage.

Reverse description The crowned city arms of Toruń — a fortified gate flanked by towers — displayed prominently in the central field. Above the shield, an angel or winged figure (the city's guardian) is depicted with outstretched wings, standing behind the arms. The date is divided by the shield, with 16 to the left and 40 to the right. The surrounding legend in Latin reads: MONETA:NOVA:ARGENT:CIVIT:THORUNENSIS, identifying this as a new silver coin of the city of Toruń.
