Obverse description The upper portion bears conjoined busts in right-facing profile of Emperor Ferdinand I, wearing a laurel wreath, and Emperor Franz I, bare-headed, in high relief. The legend 'FERDINAND I. - FRANZ I.' runs along the upper border. The lower portion depicts a detailed facade view of the Vienna Mint building in relief, set within a recessed rectangular panel. The engraver's signature 'R. PLACHT' is visible on the left field.
