Obverse description In high relief, a standing crossbowman dressed in medieval costume dominates the right side of the field, aiming his crossbow to the left toward a circular target with concentric rings, an arrow struck at its center, and the date 1938 inscribed across the target face. Legends in Latin script appear across the top, along both vertical borders, and in the lower field, with the maker's mark of B.H. Mayer's Hofkunstprägeanstalt Pforzheim inscribed along the bottom margin.
