A heraldic shield rests at his side, and a decorative pedestal bearing the date 1561 appears to his right, flanked by foliage. The engraver's signature G. DEVREESE appears at lower left. The Latin motto HINC VENIT RERUM MIHI COPIA is inscribed along the lower edge.
