Obverse description Elaborate heraldic composition in high relief featuring a central crowned coat of arms displaying the Volckamer family arms (Nuremberg eagle), flanked by two crowned lion supporters rampant amid ornate scrollwork. Above the shield, a small portrait bust in right profile is set within a wreath medallion, flanked by further decorative acanthus foliage; the date 1914 appears in the upper field. A ribbon cartouche in the lower field carries the dedicatory legend.
