Reverse description An elaborate floriated cross occupies the central field, with each arm terminating in foliate Gothic scrollwork and enclosing four ornate lobed compartments decorated with curling vegetal motifs. A rosette is placed at the center of the cross intersection. The surrounding circular legend, separated from the inner design by a beaded border, is rendered in Gothic uncial characters and reads as a devotional peace invocation.
