Obverse description Central globe or orb surmounted by a cross, with the letters R, T, I, and A arranged in the four quadrants of the cross, forming a cruciform monogram in the field. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the circular legend distributed around the periphery. The overall style is characteristic of late 15th-century Italian hammered billon coinage, with an irregular flan and somewhat weak strike.
