| Obverse description | Draped bust of Cosimo III de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany, facing right, with flowing long hair rendered in elaborate curls in the late Baroque manner. The effigy is finely detailed, with the ruler shown in contemporary aristocratic dress. The circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait along the border, with the regnal numeral VI indicating his sixth title.
