Obverse description Crowned bust of Archduke Sigismund facing right, wearing an ornate crown with fleur-de-lis finials and a cross at centre, depicted in profile with curled hair and draped shoulders. The effigy is rendered in a late Gothic style characteristic of Tyrolean coinage of the period. A beaded inner circle separates the central device from the surrounding peripheral legend. The Latin legend reads SIGISMVNDVS ARCHIDVX AVSTRIE, running clockwise around the coin.
