| Obverse description | A heraldic eagle displayed facing right occupies the central field, rendered in the crude but expressive Romanesque style typical of Friesach-type pfennigs. The eagle's wings are spread and its plumage indicated by hatched lines. The design is enclosed within two concentric circles, between which runs a Latin legend. The flan is irregular and slightly cupped, consistent with hammered silver coinage of this period. |
