Obverse description Frontal facing bust of the Duke in regal attire, holding two flags whose shafts converge above his head to form an arch. The effigy is rendered in the stylized Romanesque manner typical of Friesach pfennigs. A circular legend in Latin script is contained between two concentric lines forming the border.

Reverse description Frontal facing bust of an angel with prominent, towering wings flanking the figure, and a large cross positioned above the head. The design is executed in the conventional Friesach pfennig style with bold, simplified features. The Latin legend runs around the periphery, enclosed between two concentric circular lines.
