| Obverse description | Frontal bust of a bishop in high relief, rendered in the Romanesque style characteristic of early 13th-century Friesach coinage. The figure holds a crozier in his right hand and a cross-staff in his left, both attributes of episcopal authority. A partially legible Latin legend, reading [---]SIV[---]I, is inscribed in the field between two concentric circles bordering the design. The portrait is stylized, with drapery indicated by incised lines, typical of the hammered Pfennig tradition of the Carinthian minting workshops. |
