Obverse description Facing bust of a bishop wearing a mitre, rendered in schematic style characteristic of 13th-century Alsatian bracteate coinage. The effigy is flanked on either side by a fish, their bodies curving inward toward the central figure. The entire design is set within a beaded inner circle, framed by the distinctive four-lobed pinched border of the flan. No legend is present.
