Obverse description Two crenellated towers of differing height joined by a rounded arch, with a crescent or rosette device beneath the arch in the lower field; a stylized foliate or tree motif rises above the arch between the towers. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded or plain inner circle, typical of mid-13th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage. The flan is irregular and the relief is low, consistent with hammered silver production of the period.
