Obverse description Frontal bust of a bishop in liturgical vestments, positioned above a large capital letter R. Flanking the central motif on either side is a crenellated tower, each surmounted by a rosette. A double linear circle encloses the lower portion of the design, forming a base register typical of Friesacher Pfennig coinage. The entire composition is rendered in the flat, stylized manner characteristic of Austrian hammered bracteate-influenced denarii of the late 13th century.
