| Obverse description | The field is divided between two heraldic charges: a demi-eagle displayed to the left occupying the sinister half, and an upright lion rampant to the right occupying the dexter half. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle further bordered by a pearl circle, typical of the St. Veit bracteate-style pfennig coinage of medieval Carinthia. The rendering is characteristic of the bold, simplified heraldic style of hammered 13th-century Austrian regional coinage. |
