Obverse description Facing bishop's head wearing a mitre, depicted in crude but characteristic medieval style within a beaded or dotted inner circle. The letters P and G flank the head to left and right respectively, serving as an abbreviated reference to the issuing bishop. A small pellet or annulet appears above the mitre. The overall design is contained within a roughly circular flan with an irregular hammered edge, typical of late 13th-century episcopal bracteate-influenced coinage from the Upper Rhine region.
