| Obverse description | Within a raised inner circle, a lion passant to the left surmounted by a tower, the whole forming the combined heraldic device of Ottokar II; flanking the central motif are elements of the coat of arms of Bishop Bruno of Olomouc. The design is rendered in the bold, somewhat crude relief typical of mid-13th-century Austrian hammered bracteate-style pfennigs. The flan is irregular and slightly concave, with no legend or inscription. |
