Obverse description Facing bust turned slightly to the left, depicting a ruler with hair swept back and rendered in stylized linear strokes, set within a double concentric circle of pellets forming the border. The effigy occupies the central field with no legend, executed in the bold, schematic manner characteristic of Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennigs of the late 12th century. The hair falls in curved strands around the face, lending a dynamic quality to the otherwise frontal presentation.

Reverse description An angel or winged figure depicted in profile facing right, holding a cross, rendered in low relief in the schematic Romanesque style typical of Austrian pfennigs of this period. The figure is contained within a concentric double border of pellets, with no surrounding legend. The design is boldly struck though somewhat flat, consistent with the hammered technique and irregular flan characteristic of this coinage.
